PRIVACY POLICY

PRIVACY STATEMENT

The protection and legally compliant processing of your data are very important to us. Your personal data are collected and processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In this Privacy Statement, we wish to inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on the Vidipharm website.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, use and transfer of your data as described below, in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

Personal data and their use

As a basic principle, you may visit the pages of Vidipharm without the need to provide any personal data. We only know which IP address accessed which page, and at what time. This information is evaluated for statistical purposes, and the individual user remains anonymous.

Personal data means information enabling the identification of an individual – i.e. data that can be traced back to a specific person. This includes, for example, a person’s name, e-mail address or telephone number.

On some pages, you can enter personal data, such as your name and address, in a contact form. These data will be processed only for correspondence with you and for the purpose for which you provided the data to us.

Personal data are collected, used and passed on by Vidipharm  only where this is permitted by law or where users consent to the data being collected.

Contact form and e-mail contact

If you contact us or the contact persons indicated in the contact forms (e.g. agents working with us), your data are stored by us or those contact persons in order to process the request and in the event that any follow-up questions should arise. Other personal data are stored and used by us or those contact persons only if you consent to it or if it is permitted by law without requiring explicit consent.

These data are provided expressly on a voluntary basis and with your consent. If these data are provided for communication purposes (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), you also consent to its use by us or the respective contact persons for the purpose of responding to your request.

The personal data entered by you in the contact form (name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and message content) are e-mailed directly by a WordPress plugin

to the incoming mail server of the relevant contact person.  To our knowledge, the data entered in the form is not stored in the WordPress database on the website hosting provider’s server.

Server logs

When you visit the website, the following data are processed and stored on a server at the hosting provider: The IP address of the requesting device, the time the request was made, the destination of the request, the amount of data transferred, a message confirming whether the request was successful, identification data of the browser and operating system used, and – if access is via a web link – the website from which the site was accessed. These data are for information about system usage only and are not transferred to third parties.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on the requesting computer, which enable easier navigation on the website. The information contained in cookies is used, for example, for session control when you visit our website. No personal data about you will be stored in the process. You can control the use of cookies through your browser and delete cookies at any time. If you do not allow cookies, you can still use much of our website.  However, please note that in that case you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google Inc. (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information gathered by the cookie about the use of this website by visitors is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google in European Union Member States or other signatory states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide us with other services relating to website and internet usage.

Your browser’s IP address transferred via Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by using the appropriate setting in your browser software. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to fully use all the features of this website.

You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data gathered by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=com.

However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to fully use all the features of this website.

By using this website, you consent to the processing of data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above. More details of Google Inc.’s terms of service and privacy policy are available at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=

Transfer of data to third parties

As a matter of principle, we only use your personal data inside our company. If and to the extent that we engage third parties in performing contracts (such as agencies), personal data will only be transferred to them within the scope required by the relevant service.

In the event that we outsource certain elements of data processing (“order processing”), we contractually oblige processors to use personal data only in accordance with the requirements of data protection legislation and to ensure that the rights of the data subject are protected.
